Everything included in a GetCafeWebsite website

Every feature of a GetCafeWebsite website for cafes, coffee shops and bakeries, and which of the three plans carries it.

A menu that switches with the day

One page that shows the morning menu at 7am and the evening case at 6pm, automatically.

Why one static menu page is the wrong shape

A cafe or bakery rarely sells the same thing all day, but most sites show one long list regardless of the hour. We build the menu page to read by daypart instead: pastries and drip coffee lead in the morning, the lunch or light-bites section leads midday, and a wine, dessert or reduced evening case leads once the ovens are done for the day. The visitor sees what is actually available right now, which is what most people standing outside are trying to work out before they walk in.

How the switch actually works

The page ships every daypart section in the HTML from the start, so search engines and slow connections see the full menu with nothing missing, and a small script highlights the current daypart based on the visitor's local time and lets them tap between the other two manually. Nothing about it depends on a database or a login, so it keeps working even if a plugin-based system down the street goes down. Updating a price or swapping a seasonal item is one revision, turned around within the standard window.

What this replaces

Most independent cafes either keep the menu as a photographed page or a PDF stapled to an "our menu" link, both of which are invisible to search engines and painful to update from a phone mid-shift. This feature replaces both with a page that is fast, searchable, and editable by sending us the change rather than opening a PDF editor.

Pages that open before the espresso pulls

Custom-coded pages served from the edge, 90+ PageSpeed guaranteed.

Why speed matters more for a cafe than most businesses

Someone checking your hours or menu is usually standing outside, on a phone, on a cellular connection, deciding in the next few seconds whether to walk in or keep going. A page that stalls loses that decision before it is made. Every page here is custom coded, ships almost no JavaScript, and is served from Cloudflare's global edge network, so it opens fast on the day it launches rather than after someone finally audits the plugins.

What "90+ PageSpeed" actually covers

It is not a marketing number, it is the Google PageSpeed Insights score we guarantee on the pages we build, measured on mobile. It comes from the same things that make any page fast: minimal render-blocking code, images sized and compressed correctly, and a hosting layer close to the visitor rather than one shared server states away.

Weekly updates, so the site keeps working after launch

The team that built your site keeps it current every week, not once and never again.

What "managed" means in practice

A site that launches well and is then abandoned drifts: seasonal items stay up past their season, an old address lingers, a broken link sits for months because nobody owns fixing it. Every plan here includes ongoing management, which means a real person checks and maintains the site on a weekly basis rather than the client discovering a problem months later.

Revisions are part of the plan, not a separate invoice

Five revisions a month are included on every tier, with no limit on how much goes into a single one. "Update the holiday hours and swap the seasonal pastry photo" is one revision. Anything past the fifth in a month is a flat rate, never billed by the hour.

Researched articles, written for the neighborhood you serve

Two to three original articles a week, written for your area and your kind of counter.

Why a cafe needs a blog at all

Most searches that lead someone to a new cafe are not "best cafe" but specific: "coffee shop with wifi near [neighborhood]", "gluten-free bakery [city]", "cafe open early [area]". A page built to answer one of those searches directly, in real detail, ranks in ways a homepage never will. Articles are written specifically for your neighborhood, your hours and your kind of menu rather than swapped keywords over generic copy.

What is included on each tier

Tier one and two carry two original articles a week; tier three carries three a week through the Content Engine. Every article runs 2,500 to 3,200 words, which is enough depth to actually answer the search rather than pad toward a word count.

The AI Engine, for answering the question before it is asked

AI-assisted responses to common questions, tuned to your hours, menu and policies.

What the AI Engine actually does

It is trained on your site content, your hours and your policies to answer the questions people ask most before they call or walk in: are you open now, do you take reservations for a group, is there parking, do you have oat milk. It is a tool for answering routine questions accurately, not a replacement for a person handling an order or a complaint, and it is billed at AI usage cost on top of the plan fee, which is why tier two and three show "plus usage" next to the price.

What it is trained on, and what it will not do

It is trained only on what you and we put on the site: your hours, your menu, your policies, your location. It does not give food safety, allergen or nutrition advice, and any question that needs that answer routes to a person instead of a guess.

Hosting and one domain, both included

Cloudflare hosting with SSL, CDN and DDoS protection, plus a free domain in your name.

Nothing itemised, nothing billed separately

Hosting runs on Cloudflare's global network with SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth included in the monthly plan fee. There is no hosting invoice, no SSL renewal fee, and no bandwidth overage charge waiting in month four.

The domain is yours, registered in your name

One domain is included free for as long as the plan is active, registered in your name rather than ours, so you own it outright. If you already have a domain we point it at the new site instead, and if you ever leave, we transfer whichever domain you are using to you at no charge.

A page for every location you run

Each shop gets its own page with its own hours, menu notes and directions.

Why one "locations" list is not enough

Search engines rank a page for a place, not a bullet point inside a longer page. If you run more than one counter, each one gets its own page with its own address, hours, parking notes and any menu differences, so each location can be found and ranked on its own rather than competing with its sister locations for the same generic page.

Adding a new location later

A new location is built as a revision once you send us the details: address, hours, what differs from the existing menu, and any photos you want used. It goes live within the standard turnaround window.

Inquiries land where you actually check

Catering requests, private events and general questions route straight into your CRM.

Every form goes somewhere real

A catering request, a private event inquiry or a general contact form is worth nothing if it lands in an inbox nobody opens after the morning rush. Every form on the site connects to the CRM you already use, or to email if you do not run one, by direct API, Zapier or Make, so an inquiry becomes a notification rather than a page sitting unread.

Set once, changed whenever you need

The routing is configured once during onboarding based on where you want each type of inquiry to land, and changing the destination later, or splitting catering from general contact, is a standard revision.

Feature questions

What exactly do I get for the monthly fee?

A custom-coded website built for your cafe, coffee shop or bakery, with a menu page that switches by daypart, weekly management, and hosting, all inside one plan. Morning Shift covers the site fully managed. Full Shift adds the AI Engine for answering routine visitor questions. Open to Close adds the Content Engine, which is 3 researched articles a week instead of 2. A one-time $647 build fee applies on every plan, invoiced only after the site is live and approved.

How long until my site is live?

7 days on Morning Shift, 10 on Full Shift while the AI Engine is trained on your hours and menu, and 15 on Open to Close with the Content Engine running from day one. The clock starts at the onboarding call, not at purchase, so the sooner the onboarding form is in, the sooner the launch date is set.

Do you write my menu copy for me?

We write the surrounding pages, the daypart structure and the SEO copy, but the menu items, prices and descriptions come from you, since only you know what is actually in the case today. Send us the list in the onboarding form or as a revision and we lay it out on the page.

What does the AI Engine actually answer?

It answers the routine questions people ask before they call or walk in: are you open right now, do you take reservations for a group, is there parking, do you carry oat milk. It is trained on your hours, menu and policies, and is billed at AI usage cost on top of the Full Shift or Open to Close plan fee, which is why those show "plus usage" next to the price.

Will the AI Engine give food safety or allergen advice?

No. It answers from what is published on your site and routes anything about allergens, ingredients or food safety to a person rather than guessing, because that kind of advice has to come from you, not from an automated tool.
